“Iran’s Secret Weapon Revealed: Unstoppable Drone Set to Reach Israel’s Borders!”
Iran Unveils Advanced Armed Drone with Israel in Its Sights TEHRAN, Iran – Iran’s Defense Ministry revealed a cutting-edge drone on Tuesday, bearing a striking resemblance to America’s MQ-9 Reaper. The drone, named Mohajer-10, boasts an impressive 24-hour flight capability and claims the potential to reach Iran’s regional rival, Israel.
Displayed at a Defense Industry Day conference, the Mohajer-10 resembles a formidable machine, with smoke-machine fog adding to its mystique. The name “Mohajer” translates to “immigrant” in Farsi, a nod to a drone lineage the Islamic Republic has cultivated since 1985.
According to Iran’s state-run IRNA news agency, the drone can soar up to 24,000 feet at speeds of 210 kph (130 mph). Its payload capacity is cited at 300 kilograms (660 pounds), capable of carrying both bomb ordnance and advanced electronic surveillance gear. Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi, known for his hard-line stance, personally inspected the drone.
On state television, Raisi asserted, “Today, we can firmly introduce Iran as an advanced and technologically advanced nation to the world.” He emphasized Iran’s commitment to peaceful international relations while warning against any aggressive intentions.
While the exact veracity of the drone’s claimed capabilities remains unverified, state television broadcasted a video of the Mohajer-10 taking off from a runway. Drones of this caliber typically require ground stations and satellite communication for long-range operations.
Israeli officials, responsible for operating their own long-range drones, have yet to respond to inquiries regarding the new Iranian drone.
While Iran has previously captured U.S. drones, such as the RQ-170 Sentinel in 2011, it’s unclear if they possess an MQ-9 Reaper, which is utilized by the U.S. and allied forces for high-altitude surveillance and targeted strikes. North Korea has showcased drones resembling the Reaper, but it’s unknown if Iran has similar access to this technology.
The MQ-9 Reaper holds significant importance for Iran as it reportedly carried out the 2020 strike in Baghdad that eliminated Qassem Soleimani, a top Iranian general. This recent unveiling adds to Iran’s growing roster of drones designed for extended flight durations.
Amid these developments, Iran’s involvement in the conflict between Russia and Ukraine has raised questions. Iran’s contradictory statements about supplying drones to Russia in the ongoing conflict indicate its role in the supply of these weapons.
As geopolitical dynamics shift, Iran’s technological advances in drone warfare bring new complexities to the global stage.
