IAF’s Trishul Air Exercise: Rafale, Su-30MKIs Ready for Action!


The Indian Air Force is set to conduct a significant air exercise, codenamed “Trishul,” in the Northern Sector from September 4 to 14. This exercise will encompass various components of the Air Force’s combat and transport fleets and will be situated in close proximity to the borders of Pakistan and China. Notably, it coincides with India’s hosting of the G20 Summit, a major international event scheduled for September 8-10 in New Delhi.

The Trishul exercise will feature the participation of prominent fighter aircraft fleets, including the Rafale, Mirage 2000, and Su-30MKIs. Additionally, heavy-lift transport aircraft and helicopters, such as the Chinooks and Apaches, will join in these military drills. The Garud Special Forces will also be involved in the exercises, encompassing all facets of air power capabilities.

Regularly conducted by the Indian Air Force, these training exercises aim to enhance combat readiness at various command and inter-command levels. Exercise Trishul will encompass key air bases in regions including Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, and Punjab. This exercise signifies India’s commitment to bolstering its defense capabilities and readiness in a region of strategic significance.
